CINEMATIK
A sound stage for long pads, drones and trailer moments.
Three film reels that play any keymap on your K2700, a lens, a timeline and a cue sheet, and 128 cinematic scenes in two packs, played by the K2700 itself.
Each of the three reels plays one of the synth's own oscillators or any keymap your K2700 holds: the factory's, or your own USER keymaps, which a scan finds on the instrument. A keymap reel can play forwards, backwards or both ways, shift its timbre, or hold every key at one pitch for a drone.
The panel is a picture palace: a marquee for the title, a screen between red curtains that projects whatever you touch, a camera lens for the filter, a timeline for the envelopes and a typed cue sheet for the modulation. CINEMATIK plays through the K2700: with the LINK on, every move reaches it as you make it.
CINEMATIK PACK 1: all 64 scenes
Recorded directly from a Kurzweil K2700's audio output, with no external processing: every sound and effect is the K2700's own, playing the program CINEMATIK sends it. Each plays a riff or chords that suit it; only the levels are matched.

What it does
Three reels
Any K2700 keymap, factory or USER, or a saw, triangle, sine or pulse; reel A can also stack or sync. Every keymap reel has its tone, forward, reverse or both-ways playback, timbre shift and key tracking.
The film vault
The factory keymaps on eleven shelves, with what each one is: looped or one-shot, its roots, stereo or not. ON YOUR K2700 lists your own keymaps after a scan.
The screen
The title card with its synopsis, or a close-up of what you touch: a keymap's zones over the keys, the filter's curve, the envelope in timecode, the LFO, the layers as credits.
The lens
LP, BP or HP at 12 or 24 dB, with key tracking, its envelope and LFO 1; its iris opens with the cutoff, its flare is the resonance.
Motion
Two LFOs for each note and a third for all notes at once, so a whole chord breathes together; tempo rates for pulses and gates.
Cue sheet
16 rows of modulation: the wheel, pressure, velocity, envelopes and LFOs to pitch, tone, the reels' levels, the lens and the amp.
Post
Distortion, then chorus, flanger or phaser, a tempo echo and a long hall, all on the K2700, every knob live.
128 scenes
Two packs, each levelled on the K2700: PACK 1's epic and dark pads, ethereal beds, drones, motion, textures, worlds and trailer effects, and PACK 2's soft pads, piano scapes, strings, bells, harps and guitars, gentle motion and open horizons. Plus MY PATCHES.
Played by the K2700 itself
CINEMATIK makes no sound of its own: the keymaps live on your instrument, so what you hear is the K2700. Its 128 scenes were balanced layer by layer and levelled by listening to a K2700.
Two packs on one stage
CINEMATIK PACK 1 is dark and vast: pads, drones and trailer moments. CINEMATIK PACK 2 is light: calm, inspiring scenes on the K2700's acoustic keymaps, piano, harp, nylon, cello, flute, vibes and bells, slowly moving. THE PROGRAMME shows each pack with its own categories.
