SEE IT MOVE
Computed in your browser with KINSPIRATION's FUN engine. Drag on the map to try any a and b.
WHAT TO KNOW
INPUTS
a: the source; b: the reference point (a constant or another source).
OUTPUT RANGE
0..+1
USE IT FOR
Inverting a unipolar controller (|MIDI22 - ON| = 1 - Slider 3, 35 factory slots); folding a bipolar random or LFO into 0..1 (|RandV1 - OFF|); an effect that grows the further a controller is from a set point.
WATCH OUT
The direction is lost, only the size of the difference remains: a above or below b gives the same output.
IN THE FACTORY PROGRAMS
In 48 FUN slots of the factory programs: FUN1 37, FUN2 7, GFUN4 2, FUN4 1, GFUN2 1. GFUN2 and GFUN4 are the program's global FUNs.
