a−b
sums and mixes= a - bSubtracts b from a, so the second input works backwards. With a OFF and a unipolar b, the result runs from 0 down to -1 as b rises.
SEE IT MOVE
Computed in your browser with KINSPIRATION's FUN engine. Drag on the map to try any a and b.
WHAT TO KNOW
INPUTS
a: the source kept as it is; b: the source (or constant) taken away.
OUTPUT RANGE
-1..+1, clamped
USE IT FOR
Turning a controller round (OFF - MWheel); taking a fixed amount off a source; velocity minus a slider (AttVel - MIDI23: the slider lessens velocity's effect).
WATCH OUT
The difference can reach ±2 and is clamped to ±1: a full a minus a full negative b pins at +1, and −ON − FUN1 moves only while FUN1 is negative.
