Computed in your browser with KINSPIRATION's FUN engine. Drag on the map to try any a and b.
WHAT TO KNOW
INPUTS
a: the source; b: the ceiling (a constant or a switch).
OUTPUT RANGE
-1..+1
USE IT FOR
A ceiling: with b at +0.5 the output follows a up to +0.5 and stops there; gating half an LFO with a switch: min(MIDI29, LFO2) leaves only LFO2's negative half while the Variation button is off and the whole LFO while it is on (31 factory slots).
WATCH OUT
min with ON (1) passes any source unchanged; min with OFF (0) keeps only the negative half.
IN THE FACTORY PROGRAMS
In 37 FUN slots of the factory programs: FUN4 31, FUN2 4, GFUN4 2. GFUN2 and GFUN4 are the program's global FUNs. 1 of these slots have both inputs OFF, unused slots that keep this equation: its real uses are 36.
