a*10^b
products and scaling= a × 10^(2b) / 100, that is a × 100^(b - 1)An exponential curve: b moves the output over two decades and a scales it. b = +1 gives a, b = 0 a hundredth of a, b = -1 a ten-thousandth.

WHAT TO KNOW
INPUTS
a: the amount (often ON); b: the source to curve.
OUTPUT RANGE
-1..+1; with a = ON, 0.0001..1 as b goes -1..+1
USE IT FOR
A controller or envelope on a decibel-like curve: ON and MWheel gives 100^(wheel - 1), almost nothing for most of the travel and a quick rise near the top (13 factory slots); a source times itself on that curve (AMPENV and AMPENV, 64 slots; ENV2 and ENV2, 44), an envelope that falls away far faster than the original, for a filter that closes before the sound does.
WATCH OUT
It is steep: b = 0.5 already gives a tenth of a (−20 dB), b = 0 a hundredth; with a = ON a negative b gives almost nothing.

HOW TO ON YOUR K2700 · 1517 Lost Souls
Lost Souls uses a*10^b on its layer 1: see it, then where it goes.
In Program mode choose 1517 Lost Souls (KEYPAD, 1517, ENTER).

Press EDIT, then MORE and LFO+. The FUN3 row: Input a ENV2, Input b ENV2, Function a*10^b.

Where it goes: MORE, DSP MOD. On the TP Wid2 row FUN3 is the Depth Ctl: it sets Source 2's (ON) depth from 0.00 oct to 3.70 oct.

Hold a note: the TP Wid2 row follows FUN3.
