ramp(f=a*10^b)
ramps= a sawtooth at 25 × a × 100^(b − 1) HzA sawtooth LFO whose rate b sweeps over two decades on a log scale and a scales. A positive rate gives a saw rising from -1 to +1, a negative one a falling saw.
SEE IT MOVE
Computed in your browser with KINSPIRATION's FUN engine, step by step: this FUN keeps a state, so its output depends on what came before.
WHAT TO KNOW
INPUTS
a: the top rate's share (ON = 25 Hz at b = +1); b: the rate control on a log scale.
OUTPUT RANGE
-1..+1, a sawtooth
USE IT FOR
Rates from slow to fast on one control, with fine resolution at the slow end.
WATCH OUT
With a = ON, b = 0 gives 0.25 Hz and b = +1 gives 25 Hz: the slow rates take most of the travel, the fast ones come at the top.
IN THE FACTORY PROGRAMS
No factory program uses it: one of the K2700's hidden tools.
HOW TO ON YOUR K2700 · 2046 Editor Template
The factory does not route ramp(f=a*10^b) to a sound on its own: set one up on 2046 Editor Template and hear it on the pitch.
In Program mode choose 2046 Editor Template, a plain one-layer program to build on (KEYPAD, 2046, ENTER).

Press EDIT, then MORE and DSP MOD. On the Pitch row set Source 1 to FUN2 and its Depth to 1200 ct: FUN2's result, −1 to +1, now bends the pitch up to an octave either way.

MORE, then LFO+. On the FUN2 row set Input a to ON and Input b to MWheel.

Move to Function and turn the Alpha Wheel to ramp(f=a*10^b).

Hold a note and push the mod wheel up: the saw goes from one cycle in 4 s (0.25 Hz) to a 25 Hz buzz, on a log scale: each tenth of the wheel multiplies the rate by about 1.6.
Press EXIT and answer NO to leave the factory program as it was, or SAVE to keep your version on a USER ID.
