Oscillators in the path
OscillatorsSINE · SAW · SQUARE · the + onesSome functions are oscillators: they make a sound of their own at the note's pitch and do not need the KEY. A SAW in F1 with a filter after it is a synth voice from VAST alone; SINE+, SAW+ and NOISE+ add their wave to what comes in, so a sample and an oscillator sound together.
SEE IT MOVE
Computed in your browser with KINSPIRATION's DSP functions, sample by sample; the KEY is the Sawtooth Wave keymap.
WHAT TO KNOW
THEIR PITCH
An oscillator's first row is its pitch, in semitones from the key, with KeyTrk 100 cents a key: it ignores the PITCH page and the keymap's sound.
SILENCE
Synth layers set the keymap to Silence, so the KEY brings nothing, and the oscillators make it all.
USE IT FOR
Classic synth sounds (saws and squares through a filter), a sine under a sample for weight, two oscillators crossfaded or mixed.
WATCH OUT
A plain oscillator in a later place throws away everything before it: only the + ones keep their input.
IN THE FACTORY PROGRAMS
1,947 oscillators in the factory's layers; 586 layers play the Silence keymap and make their whole sound with them.

HOW TO ON YOUR K2700 · 1366 Funky Synbass
Funky Synbass makes its sound with two oscillators and no sample at all.
In Program mode choose 1366 Funky Synbass (KEYPAD, 1366, ENTER).

Press EDIT, then MORE and KEYMAP: the keymap is 999, Silence, so the KEY brings nothing.

MORE, then ALG: Algorithm 10, a SAW in F1-F2, a TRI in F3 and an XFADE between them in F4.

MORE, DSP CTL, the Saw Pch row: -12 ST, the saw an octave below the key.
