The factory's algorithms
Gallerythe most usedOf the 106 ALGs, the factory programs lean on a few: ALG 1 and ALG 6 carry more than half of all layers, then the 4-block ALG 5, ALG 9, the cascade ALG 105 and the other serial ones. Start from them, and choose a rarer one when a sound needs its wires.

WHAT TO KNOW
THE TWO MOST USED
ALG 1 ([2][1][1]: a 2-pole filter, then two 1-block stages) and ALG 6 ([2][2]: two 2-block functions, often a filter and an EQ).
WHAT GOES IN THEM
The 2POLE LOWPASS first, then TREBLE, LOPASS or a shaper; PARA MID and the shelves for tone; NONE where a place is not needed.
USE IT FOR
A starting point for any layer: the factory's commonest ALG for its kind of sound.
WATCH OUT
A rare ALG is not a better one: it earns its place only when its wires are what the sound needs.
IN THE FACTORY PROGRAMS
The ten most used ALGs carry 90 % of the factory's 8,828 layers; 28 are never used.

HOW TO ON YOUR K2700 · 675 Lucid Brass
Lucid Brass uses different ALGs on its layers, each the one its sound needs.
In Program mode choose 675 Lucid Brass (KEYPAD, 675, ENTER).

Press EDIT, then MORE and ALG: layer 1 plays Algorithm 6, the factory's second most used, a HIGH SHELF in F1-F2 and a 2POLE LOWPASS in F3-F4.

Go to layer 4 with CHANNEL/LAYER ▲: Algorithm 2, four places of one block. One program, a different ALG on each layer.

Press EXIT and answer NO to leave the factory program as it was, or SAVE to keep your version on a USER ID.
