A whole edit
Step by stepAMP ENV · DSP CTL · LAYER · PARAMS · SAVEAn edit is a few changes on a few pages. Full Pizzicato becomes a slow, dark, deep string sound in four: a longer attack on AMP ENV, a lower filter on DSP CTL, the octave layer kept to the bass on LAYER, more reverb on PARAMS. Then SAVE.
SEE IT MOVE
The screens are the K2700's pages for the factory program named; the maps are drawn from its layers and its PARAMS rows. Nothing plays here: open the program on your K2700 and listen as you go.
WHAT TO KNOW
ONE THING AT A TIME
Change one value, play, and listen before the next. COMPARE tells you whether the change helped.
WHICH PAGE
Loudness over time: AMP ENV. Brightness: the filter's row on DSP CTL. Which notes a layer plays: LAYER. The room: FX, or the reverb's row on PARAMS.
EVERY LAYER
A program's layers are edited one by one: a change on layer 1 leaves layer 2 as it was. Step through them with CHANNEL/LAYER.
WATCH OUT
Save early on a USER ID and keep saving on it; the factory program is always there to start again.
IN THE FACTORY PROGRAMS
4,596 factory layers shape their loudness with a User AMP ENV, 4,425 follow the sample's own (Natural). Of the User ones, 3,422 start within 10 ms; the first block of most layers is 2POLE LOWPASS.

HOW TO ON YOUR K2700 · 306 Full Pizzicato
Make Full Pizzicato yours in four edits: a slower attack, a darker tone, the octave layer only in the bass, more reverb.
In Program mode choose 306 Full Pizzicato (KEYPAD, 306, ENTER).

Press EDIT, then MORE and AMP ENV, and turn Attack 1 from 2 ms to 0.3 s.

Press DSP CTL. On the LP Frq row turn the value down, here to G#3 208 Hz: darker.

Press LAYER and CHANNEL/LAYER ▲ to layer 2, the octave below that VARIATION brings in. Turn High Key from C 8 to B 3: the octave now plays only in the bass.

Press PARAMS: Reverb Amount is on Slider 9. Move Slider 9 up, here to 90: more of the hall.

Press SAVE, keep the next unused USER ID or choose one, RENAME it, and SAVE.
