COMPARE and SAVE
USER IDsCOMPARE · SAVE · RENAME · IDs 4096..8191COMPARE plays and shows the program as it was stored, so you can hear what your edits did; press it again to go back. SAVE stores your version on a USER ID: the factory programs stay as they are, and your programs live from ID 4096 up.
SEE IT MOVE
The screens are the K2700's pages for the factory program named; the maps are drawn from its layers and its PARAMS rows. Nothing plays here: open the program on your K2700 and listen as you go.
WHAT TO KNOW
COMPARE
While COMPARE is on, the pages show the stored program and nothing can be edited; its soft button lights. FX BYPASS takes the effects out the same way, to compare levels.
SAVE
SAVE offers the next unused USER ID; another can be chosen with the Alpha Wheel or KEYPAD. A used ID is replaced, so the K2700 says so. RENAME names the program; SAVE again stores it.
EXIT
EXIT with changes asks whether to save: YES opens the save dialog, NO drops the edits, BACK returns to the editor.
WATCH OUT
A USER program saved on its own ID replaces the old version. Keep a copy on another ID when an edit may go wrong.
IN THE FACTORY PROGRAMS
The factory's 1,544 programs keep their IDs; yours go from 4096 to 8191. What SAVE stores includes where each control starts: Filter Freq at 127 in 589 programs, Attack at 0 in 1,105.

HOW TO ON YOUR K2700 · 306 Full Pizzicato
Change Full Pizzicato's attack, compare it with the stored program, and save it as yours.
In Program mode choose 306 Full Pizzicato (KEYPAD, 306, ENTER).

Press EDIT, then MORE and AMP ENV. Attack 1 takes 2 ms: a pluck.

Turn it up, here to 0.3 s: the strings swell in.

Press MORE until COMPARE shows, and press it: the stored program, 2 ms, with the soft button lit; nothing can be changed meanwhile. Press it again for your version.

Press SAVE. The K2700 offers the next unused USER ID, from 4096; choosing a used one would replace it. RENAME names it, SAVE stores it, and 306 stays as it was.
Or press EXIT and answer NO: the edit is dropped.
