ENV2 and ENV3
ModulationENV2 · ENV3 · −100 to +100 %ENV2 and ENV3 shape something other than the loudness: a filter's frequency, the pitch, a level, a FUN. They are bipolar, from −100 to +100 %, move in straight lines, and do nothing until a field reads them with a depth.
SEE IT MOVE
Computed in your browser with KINSPIRATION's envelope engine, frame by frame; the tone follows each note's envelope.
WHAT TO KNOW
THE FIELDS
The ENV2 and ENV3 pages, seven segments each like the AMPENV's; their Rel3 keeps a level of its own. A field reads them as Src1 or Src2, with a depth in its own units.
RANGE
−100 to +100 %: below 0 the destination moves the other way, a filter closing below where you set it, a pitch falling.
USE IT FOR
ENV2 on a lowpass filter's frequency, the classic filter envelope; on the pitch for a blip or a fall; on AMP as a second loudness contour; ENV3 on a second filter or an EQ.
WATCH OUT
The depth sets how far: an ENV2 at 100 % with a depth of 4800 cents opens a filter four octaves. In KOACH the envelope control and Impact act on the AMPENV only.
IN THE FACTORY PROGRAMS
ENV2 in 2491 layers, ENV3 in 912. 1097 ENV2s go below 0 somewhere. ENV2 on a 2POLE LOWPASS's frequency (Src2) has a median depth of +4500 cents.

HOW TO ON YOUR K2700 · 829 Cirque du Synth
Cirque du Synth's ENV2 opens and closes a lowpass filter. See its shape, then where it goes.
In Program mode choose 829 Cirque du Synth (KEYPAD, 829, ENTER).

Press EDIT, then MORE and ENV2. It jumps to 100 %, falls to 7 % in 0.34 s, swells to 83 % in 1.4 s and settles at 66 % in 3 s.

Where it goes: MORE, DSP MOD. On the LP Frq row Source 2 is ENV2, its depth from 0 ct to 4800 ct as FUN1 rises: the filter follows the envelope.
