AMPENV, Natural or User
ModeMode · Natural · UserNatural plays the envelope each factory sample carries, its own fall and release; User plays the seven segments of the page. Pianos, drums and plucked sounds lean on Natural; synths, pads and strings on User.
SEE IT MOVE
Computed in your browser with KINSPIRATION's envelope engine, frame by frame; the tone follows each note's envelope.
WHAT TO KNOW
THE FIELD
Mode, on the AMP ENV page. With Natural the segments are hidden; FM layers have no Natural.
NATURAL
The sample's own records: a fall in dB per second for a time, then a rate while the key is held and a release rate after it. Many roots hold steady while held, as their decay is in the recording itself; a plucked root falls in its records.
USE IT FOR
Natural for factory samples of struck and plucked instruments; User for sustained sounds, oscillators, FM layers and your own samples.
WATCH OUT
Your own samples carry only a decay and a release rate, seldom set for the instrument: give them a User envelope. The envelope control still speeds a Natural decay and release, not its attack records.
IN THE FACTORY PROGRAMS
Of the factory's 8829 VAST layers, 4426 play AMPENV Natural and 4403 User. Natural leads in pianos (618 to 105) and drums (1295 to 329); User in synths (1604 to 352) and pads (463 to 90).

HOW TO ON YOUR K2700 · 307 Touch Full Pizz
Touch Full Pizz plays its samples' own envelope: Natural. Switch it to User and its segments appear.
In Program mode choose 307 Touch Full Pizz (KEYPAD, 307, ENTER).

Press EDIT, then MORE and AMP ENV. The Mode is Natural: no segments on the page, the samples carry their own fall and release. The rows underneath still speed them up or slow them down.

Turn the Mode to User: the seven segments appear, here 0 s and 100 %, so the note holds at full level and stops as the key goes up. Shape them, and the note follows them, not the sample.

Press EXIT and answer NO to leave the factory program as it was, or SAVE to keep your version on a USER ID.
