warp1(a,b)
shapes and warps= b × (1 / a) while |b| <= a, then falling back to 0 at |b| = 1Vari-slope: a reshapes b, steepening it up to plus or minus a and folding it back beyond; a sawtooth b becomes a triangle at a = 0.5.
SEE IT MOVE
Computed in your browser with KINSPIRATION's FUN engine. Drag on the map to try any a and b.
WHAT TO KNOW
INPUTS
a: the slope, a constant 0..1 (1 leaves b as it is, 0 gives two falling ramps); b: the moving signal, usually an LFO.
OUTPUT RANGE
-1..+1
USE IT FOR
Morphing an LFO between saw and triangle with a controller as a; a peaked response: with a = 0.5 a unipolar b is highest at the middle of its travel (mid velocities get the most).
WATCH OUT
a below 0 counts as 0, which gives two falling ramps; at a = 1 b passes unchanged.

HOW TO ON YOUR K2700 · 2046 Editor Template
The factory does not route warp1(a,b) to a sound on its own: set one up on 2046 Editor Template and hear it on the pitch.
In Program mode choose 2046 Editor Template, a plain one-layer program to build on (KEYPAD, 2046, ENTER).

Press EDIT, then MORE and DSP MOD. On the Pitch row set Source 1 to FUN2 and its Depth to 1200 ct: FUN2's result, −1 to +1, now bends the pitch up to an octave either way.

MORE, then LFO+. On the FUN2 row set Input a to 0.50 and Input b to LFO1.

Move to Function and turn the Alpha Wheel to warp1(a,b).

Hold a note: LFO1's slow sine comes out doubled while it is small and folded back toward 0 at its peaks, so the pitch makes two humps where the sine made one.
Press EXIT and answer NO to leave the factory program as it was, or SAVE to keep your version on a USER ID.
