Source 1 and its Depth
Src1Src1 · Depth · polaritySource 1 adds the source's value times the Depth. A unipolar source (0..1: the mod wheel, a slider, velocity) moves the row one way only, toward the Depth's sign; a bipolar one (−1..+1: an LFO, the pitch wheel, BKeyNum) swings it both ways. A negative Depth turns the movement over.

WHAT TO KNOW
THE FIELDS
Src1 names the source, Depth says how far its full value moves the row: up to ±7200 cents on the pitch or a filter, in dB on a level or a gain.
POLARITY
Unipolar: 0 at rest, 1 at the top, so the row moves from its value toward value + Depth. Bipolar: −1..+1 around 0, so the row swings from value − Depth to value + Depth.
USE IT FOR
A slider on a filter, an octave switch on a button or a slider (1200 cents on the pitch), a brightness that rises up the keyboard with KeyNum, a level that follows velocity.
WATCH OUT
A unipolar control at rest gives 0: the row sits at its value until you move it. A bipolar LFO in Src1 takes the row below its value as much as above.
IN THE FACTORY PROGRAMS
24,642 rows use Source 1: 19,567 with a unipolar source, 5,075 with a bipolar one; 6,272 have a negative Depth.

HOW TO ON YOUR K2700 · 276 Studio A Strings
Studio A Strings opens its filter with Slider 1. Turn its Depth round, then try a bipolar source.
In Program mode choose 276 Studio A Strings (KEYPAD, 276, ENTER).

Press EDIT, then MORE and DSP MOD. On the LP Frq row Source 1 is MIDI12 (Slider 1), Depth 5700 ct: a unipolar source, so the slider only opens the filter from its value.

Move to the Depth and turn the Alpha Wheel to -5700 ct: now Slider 1 closes the filter instead.

Move to Source 1 and choose PWheel, the pitch wheel: bipolar, so the filter now moves both ways from its value as the wheel goes up and down.
