Reverbs
RvrbRvrb Time · Pre Dly · HF Damping · Room TypeA reverb is the room: reflections so many that they blur into a tail. Rvrb Time is how long the tail takes to fall 60 dB, Pre Dly how long before it starts, HF Damping how fast its highs die, Room Type and Size Scale the room's shape. The factory's reverbs sit on Aux 1, fed by the send.

WHAT TO KNOW
THE TIME
Rvrb Time is the time to fall 60 dB: under 1 s a room, 1.5 to 2.5 s a hall, 4 s and more a cathedral. Most factory reverbs take it from a controller, Reverb Time on CC 9 (Knob 9).
PRE DLY AND DAMPING
Pre Dly keeps the attack clear of the tail (10 to 70 ms in the factory's halls); HF Damping darkens the tail, as walls and air soak up the highs.
USE IT FOR
Depth and space: a short room holds a piano close, a long hall carries strings and pads, a plate is bright and dense for keys and voices.
WATCH OUT
A long tail at a high send blurs chords: lower the send before you shorten the time. The factory feeds its reverbs at a median of 19 %.
